The dismembered foot of a woman was found on the Peaks Parkway Path in New Waltham on 25 April 2019.

The police said that they were unable to identify whose foot it was.

The foot was found by a dog walker on the pathway near to the village hall in New Waltham. The pathway connected the roundabout on the A16 at the A1098 junction with the B1219 in New Waltham.

The police arrived at the scene at around 7.30am on 25 April 2019.

The police carried out extensive searches around the old railway track at Louth Road, New Waltham where the remains were found, including the field to the north of Buck Beck. Buck Beck, which runs parallel to the A16, was also examined by underwater search unit officers.

The police said that the remains included the foot and the lower part of a leg. They said that the foot had been dismembered in the year before it was found, 2018.

They described the woman as probably being:

  • Over 16 years old.
  • About 5ft 2in tall.

However, nothing more is known.
