Fatah Warsame was stabbed to death outside the Popland club in Slater Street at about 4am on 6 May 2018.
The police said that they thought that he had been stabbed at the corner of Wood Street and Roe Alley before he went to Hanover Street where it was thought he collapsed.
It was thought that he had got into an altercation outside the Popland club with three men. Fatah Warsame was from Cardiff and had been to Liverpool with friends.
Several people were arrested but released although in April 2021 it was reported that a man that had recently returned to the United Kingdom had been arrested in relation to the murder whilst another man that was wanted in connection with Fatah Warsame's murder was still at large.

A number of other people were arrested in May 2018 on suspicion of assisting an offender.
