Andrew Whitter was found with head injuries at the Islington Motel in Blackburn where he was living at about 10pm on Monday 10 July 2017 and taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital where he died on Thursday 13 July 2017.
It was initially thought that he had been murdered after having been assaulted, but it was later said that he had died from natural causes.
Andrew Whitter was found to have suffered serious head injuries. However, the police said that they didn't think that any weapons had been used in the assault.
They said that they thought that he had been assaulted and robbed sometime before he was found with his head injuries, possibly a few days earlier.

However, on 4 January 2018 it was reported that they were all to be released without further action after it was said that Andrew Whitter had died from natural causes.
Andrew Whitter had been living in supported accommodation at the motel at the time.
