The body of a newly-born child was found in the garden of a house in Lowerhouse Lane on Sunday 6 January 1957.
A 12-year-old boy told a police constable at 4.40pm on the Sunday that he had found the body and when the constable went to look he found the naked body of a newly-born female child near the fence of the back garden.
