Adrian Vince Milner was punched by someone on Church Road, Murston on 28 December 2010.

He died 12 days later. He suffered a fractured nasal bone and a fracture to the base of his skull but later caught pneumonia due to his injuries from which he died. The cause of death was given as a head injury.

When he was found he still had his hands in his pockets with his legs crossed.

He had been walking along Church Road in Murston, Sittingbourne with a friend on 28 December 2010 just before 7.53pm when he was punched just outside the Co-Operative store near the junction of Church Road and Tonge Road. After punching him the man that carried out the attack walked off. Adrian Milner and his friend had earlier been drinking in the New Inn pub in Murston Road, Murston. His friend said that he had drunk about eight or nine pints but was not sure how much Adrian Milner had had although he said that he had been wobbly.

It was said to have been a completely unprovoked attack.

The punch caused Adrian Milner to fall and hit his head.

Three men were arrested in connection with his murder but released without charge.

CCTV evidence was also analysed without luck.

A woman who was driving past at the time and knew Adrian Milner's friend said she stopped and got out to help. She said 'It wasn’t until I got down to Adrian’s level I could see he had blood coming out his mouth and the back of his head and he was making funny noises'.

Adrian Milner was a lorry driver.
