John Deakin went missing after going out for a walk on 4 November 2004.
He had gone for a walk along the coastal path at Flamborough Head. He was last seen during the morning at the North Landing car park, heading for the coastal path.
His walking boots, walking stick and uneaten sandwiches were later found in his blue Renault Laguna car.
A search was made for him by the police and coastguard, but without luck.
He had been an electrical engineer and had been worried at the time as he was due to appear in court on behalf of his employer.
His wife said that she didn't think that he would have run away or taken his own life.
He had lived nearby in Stannington.
