Archibald Coyne died following a fist fight outside a school.
He had been involved in a fist fight outside the gates of Springboig Approved School on 1 July 1956 after which he was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he later died 7 days later on 8 July 1956 from brain injuries without regaining consciousness.
He was found unconscious behind a typewriter factory near the school.
Two youths were charged with his culpable homicide but nothing more is known.
Archibald Coyne had lived in Craigendmuir Street in Black Hill. He was last known to have left his tenement home to meet a friend.
He had recently been discharged from the school.
The police interviewed scores of the school's 200 pupils.
