Alexander Kareem was shot dead in Askew Road, Shepherds Bush on 8 June 2020.

He was shot just outside the Paya Chinese takeaway, opposite Ashcurch Grove and Ashchurch Terrace.

It was thought that he had been killed in a case of mistaken identity.

He was shot by someone in a passing stolen white Range Rover car.

He had been riding home on a scooter with fizzy drinks and sweets after having been to a local shop.

The Range Rover had been stolen and had had false number plates. It was found 25 minutes later burnt out just three miles away in Ascott Avenue, Ealing.

9mm ammunition was found at the scene, although the gun was not found.

Nine people were arrested over his murder but later told they would face no further action.

Alexander Kareem was said to have had no association with gangs or criminality and had been due to go to university.
