Oluwamayowa Adeymi was shot in the chest in Brackenfield Close, Clapton on 5 June 2020.

The police were called out at about 11.30pm and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

His post mortem concluded that he died from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Several people were arrested in connection with his murder:

  1. 21-year-old man, arrested 13 June 2020 on suspicion of being concerned with the murder.
  2. 22-year-old man, arrested 6 June 2020 on suspicion of murder.
  3. 20-year-old man, arrested 12 June 2020 on suspicion of murder.
  4. Man, arrested 23 June 2020 on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
  5. Woman, arrested 23 June 2020 on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
  6. 28-year-old man, arrested 7 July 2020 on suspicion of being concerned in the murder.
  7. 23-year-old woman, arrested 7 July 2020 on suspicion of assisting an offender.

A large Volvo estate car was found the following morning abandoned in Cowper Road, Stoke Newington and it was thought to have been involved in the murder. It had a false registration number, EX18EXE and certain distinguishing features including scuff marks to both corners of the front bumper and the front passenger door mirror being held on with tape.

The police said, 'I am very keen to hear from anyone who thinks they have seen this Volvo or knows who drives it'.

It was also noted that at the time of the shooting that there had been several other people in Brackenfield Close and the police appealed for them to come forward.

Oluwamayowa Adeymi was also known as Samson.
