Leslie Woodward was stabbed at a party in Bootle on Sunday 31 July 1994.
He had been out earlier with some friends in Liverpool and they later went to the party in a flat above some shops at the junction of Hawthorne Road and Bedford Road, where Leslie Woodward later got into a dispute and was stabbed.
He was taken to Fazackerley hospital by ambulance but died soon after.
They had taken a taxi from Liverpool to get to the party.
