Reginald Ernest McMullen was found dead in the River Mersey on Tuesday 25 November 1958.
He was a shopkeeper and had lived at 218 Seabank Road, New Brighton, Wallasey.
He had gone into the River Mersey on the night of Tuesday 25 November 1958 and an attempt to save him was made by a lifeboat without success. It was reported that the Wallesey ferry Royal Daffodil II had lowered a lifeboat in an unsuccessful attempt to save him from drowning.
