Agnes Edith Madden died from starvation.

Her husband was tried for her manslaughter after it was heard that he had gone away from home and allowed her to starve, but the case was later dropped after it was heard that he had sent he 3s and that her death had been hastened by her being taken by cab to her mother's house.
