Man

The body of a man was found on the rocks at Browns Bay, Whitley Bay on the morning of Saturday 11 January 1958.

He was found naked and was thought to have been in the water for about two months.

The police were unable to identify him despite extensive inquiries.

An open verdict was returned at his inquest stating that he had been Found Drowned and that there was no evidence to show how he had got into the water.
