Jackie Chau Kwok Tam was shot during an attempted armed robbery at his restaurant on 9 December 1997 and died three days later on 12 December 1997.
He was shot with a sawn-off shotgun.
Three men in balaclavas had entered the restaurant through a rear kitchen door at about 8pn on 9 December 1997. During the attempted robbery one of the robbers took Jackie Tam into the kitchen where he shot him in the back.
After the robbers fled Jackie Tam was taken to Leeds General Infirmary where he later died.
His post mortem showed that he died from shotgun wounds to the chest.
He had lived in Hall Park Avenue.
