Dennis Radcliffe was stabbed to death in the street after a party in Campbell Road, Tottenham, on 25 August 1985.
Seven men were acquitted of his murder at the Old Bailey on 9 February 1986. The trial had lasted 11 weeks and the jury had deliberated for 6 days.
It was submitted that the men had attacked him in revenge after he had allegedly robbed one of the groups younger brothers. The men admitted that they had gone to the party after finding out about the younger brother's chains having been stolen, but denied having taken any weapons or having taken part in the attack.
Dennis Radcliffe had been chased down the road and beaten, kicked, punched and stabbed to death.
Dennis Radcliffe had lived in Lightfoot Road in Hackney.
