Andrew Sammons died after being stabbed two days before Christmas during a violent argument with his partner.

He was found with stab wounds at his home in Hawthorn Avenue, Wisbech on Sunday 23 December 2018 and died at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kings Lynn, on Friday 28 December 2018.

He had two stab wounds, one to the neck and naother to the chest.

A woman in her 40s was arrested shortly after.

The police initially said that they were treating it as a murder. However, his inquest later stated that they were unable to say whether his death was lawful or unlawful.

His partner said that Andrew Sammons had been continually punching her in the face and had pinned her to the wall.

His inquested stated that 'Andrew died as a result of serious stab wounds together with a heart attack causing severe hypoxic brain injury and respiratory distress'.

After being stabbed Andrew Sammons went to his neighbours house and said, 'she's just stabbed me'. An ambulance was then called but Andrew Sammons suffered a cardiac arrest on the way and later died at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn.
