Lily died following a fire at her home that was thought to have been arson.
The fire took place on the afternoon of Saturday 1 December 2018. Lily was recovered from the property and taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough after which she was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle where she died on Wednesday 5 December 2018.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of arson but later released under investigation by police. However, it was later reported that early investigations were indicating that the fire was not a deliberate act. However, the police said, 'A police investigation is underway', but nothing more is known.
Lily had attended Skerne Park Academy.
