Paul Smith was killed during a drug deal in Catford on 20 April 1986.
He had been dragged 0.75 miles by a Vauxhall car after he got his foot caught by its seatbelt. He had been seen arguing with the men in the Vauxhall car a short time before it roared off, dragging him screaming along with it.
He had travelled that day from his home in Hawkeshead Street, Southport to Catford with a large amount of money which was missing when he was discovered.
The car was later found abandoned.
A 37-year-old man was tried for his murder but acquitted due to a lack of evidence. It was alleged that he had been in the Vauxhall car, however, the driver of the car was never found.
