The body of a an unidentified man was found in the River Thames off Strand-on-the-Green.
The body was found by a waterman as he passed in his boat.
There were no marks of violence found about the body.
The man was described as having the appearance of a mechanic. He was fully dressed but there was nothing on him to identify him.
The inquest heard that there was nothing to show how he came to be in the water and an open verdict was returned.
