Jason King died from a head injury.

He came back to the Salvation Army Shelter in Burne Street, Marylebone on 29 June 1903 with a head injury saying that he had been knocked down and died later in the infirmary at Rackham Street in North Kensington.

An open verdict was returned at his inquest.

The Salvation Army Shelter in Burne Street has since been demolished and the A40 built over its course. A small part of Burne Street exists to the north of the the A40 and the remains of the southern section is now called Cabbell Street. The Salvation Army Shelter was just to the north of Edgeware Road station.
