Elijah Fagan was shot during an argument with another man in Handsworth Close, Handsworth, on 2 May 2004.
They had both been on bicycles when they had a 'disagreement' outside a house in Handsworth Close at about 3.20pm.
Elijah Fagan was shot in the stomach and taken to hospital where he died. It was thought that he was shot with a 9mm weapon.
It was thought that Elijah Fagan had been punched to the ground and then shot.
After the murder, the gunman rode off on a mountain bike towards Alexandra Close.
Elijah Fagan himself, managed to struggle to a nearby street, Sycamore Road, before slumping to the ground.
He was taken to City Hospital but later died from his injuries.
His post mortem found that he died from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen.
