Daniel Miller

Age: 19

Sex: male

Date: 1 Jul 2004

Place: Sandwell Valley, West Midlands

Daniel Miller was shot in a drive-by shooting in Lones Road, West Bromwich, on 30 June 2004.

He had been outside his home in his Alfa Romeo car at the time, around 8.30pm.

It was reported that he had been shot in a hail of bullets by masked men.

He was taken to Sandwell General Hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival. It was noted that following the shooting it took the police and an ambulance 20 minutes to arrive.

A green Rover 200 that was thought to have been used in the shooting was found dumped at The Leverets in Handsworth the following day.

The police said that Daniel Miller had links to The Raiders, a gang involved in drugs and firearms that operated around the West Bromwich and Smethwick area.

However, it was thought that he had been a victim of mistaken identity.

A 22-year-old man was arrested in connection with his murder in October 2006, but no convictions were made.
