Harun Khan was shot with a shotgun on his doorstep in Tudor Street, Tipton on 3 March 2008.

He was shot three times at about 9.25pm.

A man was seen running off on foot after the shooting along Tudor Street towards Coneygree Road and then turning right towards the railway bridge. He was described as having been wearing dark clothing and to have had a limp or unusual gait.

Six men were arrested in connection with his murder but none were charged.

Harun Khan had been a taxi driver.

The police said that they considered that his murder had been an honour killing and during their investigation they travelled as far as villages in Pakistan for clues. The police said that there had been a 'big family dispute over a number of months'.

Harun Khan's brother-in-law said that their family however knew who murdered him and that it was just a case of finding the evidence to prove it.
