Devoy Burton-Stapleton was stabbed after leaving a bar in Earlsfield near Wandsworth Common on Sunday 1 April 2018 around 1am.
A 24-year-old man was charged with his murder but the case was discontinued before trial.
A 21-year-old man was initially arrested but later released with no further action.
Devoy Burton-Stapleton had just left a bar in Earlsfield in the early hours of 1 April 2018 and had been making his way home. He was found in Ellerton Road near Burntwood Lane and died at the scene at 1.55am.
He had lived nearby and had been a student at West Thames College.
