Mark Tremain died after being assaulted in Albert Square, Lambeth at about 5.50pm on 31 May 2018. He was taken to hospital but later died from head injuries on 14 June 2018.
Witnesses said that they saw two men fighting in Albert Square.
He was taken to the hospital by air ambulance due to the seriousness of his injuries. His cause of death was given as being due to a head injury.
A 20-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm but nothing more is known. He had been released on bail to return to the police station in June 2018.
A murder investigation was later launched.
The police said, 'Although an arrest has been made I am still keen to hear from witnesses or anyone who has any information about this incident'.
