A man was charged with his murder but he said that he acted in self-defence. His trial was due to be heard in August 2019 but nothing more is known.

Ross Gow was found in Bellvue Crescent, Bellshill at about 4am on Wednesday 3 October 2018. He was taken to Monklands Hospital in Airdrie where he died shortly after.
It was said that he had earlier been involved in an altercation the house at 81 Bellvue Crescent.
Ross Gow was from Condorrat in Cumbernauld.
