Joel Urhie died in a fire at his home in Adolphus Street, Deptford in the early hours of 7 August 2018.
The fire had been started by a burning package being pushed through the letterbox. Joel Urhie's mother and sister escaped the fire by jumping out of the first-floor window.
Joel Urhie was found in an upstairs bedroom that he had shared with his mother.
His post-mortem stated that his cause of death was consistent with fire and smoke inhalation
Five men were arrested but no one was charged.
It was considered that the attack was gang related and that the target had been Joel Urhie's 21-year-old brother.
CCTV footage showed a man cycling with a petrol can to a Shell garage in Shooters Hill Road where he appeared to fill it after which he cycled away.
