Kevin Quinn died following a fight at a flat in St Augustine Road, Littlehampton on 21 March 2018.
The police were called to the flat at about 3.15pm to find him unconscious.
He was taken by air ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, where he died the following evening Thursday 22 March 2018.
Two men aged 49 and 52 were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and released under investigation, however, nothing more is known about any charges.
The police said that the three men were all known to each other and that they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the matter.
