Jermaine Kevin Johnson was stabbed in Vallentin Road, Waltham Forest on 19 March 2018.
He was stabbed outside a block of flats a few yards from Wood Street station.
He was pronounced dead at the scene about an hour after the paramedics arrived.
A 17-year-old youth was charged with his murder on 23 March 2018 but the case was later discontinued on 13 June 2018.
Vallentin Road in Walthamstow was described in the Sun Newspaper as Britain's most dangerous street. It was noted for being in the catchment area of at least six notorious criminal gangs. Guled Farah was shot there in a drive-by shooting on 22 September 2018. His murder is also unsolved.
