The body of a newly-born child was found in the lost property office of the GWR at Paddington.
It was in a suitcase and wrapped up in newspaper dated 10 December 1938.
The parcel had been found under a seat of a train.
When a divisional police surgeon examined the body he said that he found no marks of violence about the body and said that its cause of death had been lack of attention at birth.
The Coroner said that the parcel had probably been placed under the seat by someone that had kept the child's birth a secret.
