Benjamin Pearson was found dead at the bottom of a hoist shaft.
He was found after a fellow mill-hand said that he had had a dream that Benjamin Pearson was dead at the bottom of the shaft. He went to tell his mates and when they went to look they found his body.
He had worked at the mill of Messrs J Briggs and Co in Gordon Street.
An open verdict was returned.
