Michael Michaels died from a head injury.
He had been a poultry and feather dealer and had lived in Southampton Street, Kings Cross.
He had left home on the morning of Wednesday 20 December 1911 saying that he was going to sell some turkeys and would be back between 9 and 10pm.
At 9.30pm a taxi-cab arrived at his house with him and the driver said that he had met with an accident and then drove off. However, Michael Michaels's wife said she didn't take details of the taxi cab because she didn't think that anything serious had happened to him.
However, Michael Michaels later died. His post mortem said that his head injury might have been caused by either a fall or a blow.
Southampton Street is now called Calshot Street.
