Kelly Davis

Kelly Davis was found dead at her flat in Aldridge Close, Cheltenham.

Her husband was arrested on suspicion of murder but later released.

Her post mortem later revealed that she had died from alcoholism. However, she also had fractured ribs and other soft tissue injuries to her head and face suggesting injury but the pathologist said that there was no evidence of foul play but that nobody could really be sure what had happened.

After she had died her husband had left her dead in their bed and carried on drinking for four days until the police were called, upon which they noticed a foul smell in the property resulting in them finding Kelly Davis's decomposing body.

At her inquest, the Coroner said, ‘After exhaustive enquiries by the police and after two post mortems by the Home Office pathologist nobody can be really sure what happened but there is no evidence of anything suspicious’.

Her cause of death was given as complications of alcohol abuse with there being no indication of any other recent injuries.
