Melanie Loveridge was found with serious head injuries near a disused railway line close to Station Road on 13 July 2019 at about 8pm and taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital where she later died on 15 July 2019.
A 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing her grievous bodily harm but released.
