Andrew Gosden went missing from his home in Doncaster.

He had taken £200 out of his bank account and bought a one-way ticket to London. He was last seen in Doncaster at 8.30am as he walked down Littlemoor Lane, Balby, towards Westfield Park.

He was later seen in CCTV footage at Kings Cross Station with his black bag at 11.20am on 14 September 2007. However, there have been no sightings of him since.

After he vanished his bank account was never used again.

His bag had the names of music bands on it including Muse, Slipknot, Dragon Force and Funeral for a Friend.

On the morning that he vanished he left for school as normal but didn't go; instead he waited for his parents to leave and then went back into the house via the back door and changed out of his school uniform and put on a pair of jeans, a t-shirt and a pair of trainers and then went to a local garage where he withdrew the £200. After he went to the train station and bought a one way ticket on the 9.35am Doncaster to London train, arriving at Kings Cross at 11.20am.

It was noted that he had refused a return ticket when he bought his ticket even though it would have cost about the same.

He was seen on the train by a passenger playing his PlayStation console.

He was noted for having a distinctive right ear, it having a distinctive double ridge.

In October 2019 the police issued a computer generated image of what they thought have might have looked like aged 26.

On 8 December 2021 two men were arrested in connection with kidnapping Andrew Gosden. They were aged 38 and 45. They were arrested on suspicion of kidnap and human trafficking in London. The 45-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of possessing indecent images of children. however, in September 2023 it was reported that they had been released by the police.
