Patrick Gomes DeAlmeida was stabbed in London Road on 1 October 2020.
He was stabbed around 11pm and died at the scene about half an hour later around 11.26pm.
Another 33-year-old man was also taken to the hospital with injuries.
It was thought that three masked men had attacked him outside his home and then fled in a car.
It was noted that his white Volkswagen Scirocco had also been deliberately damaged in the street a week earlier during either the evening of Wednesday, 23 September or in the early hours of Thursday, 24 September 2020 and that the police were looking into whether the incident was connected with his murder.
The police said that they were interested in speaking to anyone that had been in the London Road area, by Grosvenor Court and Homefield flats, around the time of the murder to come forward.
Four people were charged with his murder, but no one was tried and nothing more is known.
