Sophie Richards was found dead at 8 Whitfield Street, London.
It was later found that she had died from an illegal operation and two German suspects were identified. However, they had since returned to German and German refused to extradite them, although they were tried in germany.
The pair were a man and a woman, and the man was acquitted, however, the woman was then found to be insane and unable to plead and was ordered to be detained.
Sophie Richards was also known as Marie Richards.
