Peter White died after a medical device pumped an overdose of heroin into his body.
An open verdict was returned.
The device had been fitted after an opertion and was programmed to start dispencing pain relief 24 hours after the operation, however, within 16 hours he had recieved an overdose.
His cause of death was gaven as a heroin poisoning.
His family said they were seeking legal advice.
