Ahmed Beker was stabbed to death in Paddington Green, London on 26 February 2021.
He was said to have beed attacked by four men on stolen mopeds.
Two 19-year-old men were tried for his murder, but nothing more is known. They last appeared at the Old Bailey on 13 September 2022 and the case is noted by the Defence as 'Present', indicating that it is still ongoing. They were said to have been identified as two of the attackers through a combination of CCTV analysis, eyewitness accounts and telephone evidence.
The two other men were said to have fled the country before they were identified as suspects.
The prsecution said:
Ahmed Beker had been slashed across the face with a Rambo style knie two months earlier.
He had been the cousin of Yousif Beker who had been in a gang and who as murdered in 2019 outside a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant in Edgware Road, Westminster on 10 September. Hoever, it was said that Ahmed Beker had not been in a gang.
Yousif Beker had been connected to the Lisson Green Men gang whose rivals were the Harrow Road Boys.
As such, when it was found that he had been Yousif Beker's cousin, he became a target and in December 2020 he was approached by two men in dark clothing and balaclavas at Braithwaite Tower who asked where he was from and whether had had been the cousin of Little D. One of the men then produced a 12in knife and slashed him across the face. Ahmed Beker said that the men had been from Harrow Road, however, he said that he didn't want the police involved out of fear following what happened to his cousin and refused to have his wound photographed.
It was later on 26 February 2021, at about 8.15pm, that Ahmed Beker had been walking with a friend in Paddington Green when they were chased by the group of four men. Ahmed Beker's friend had ran out ino the road and was hit by traffic, but only suffered minor injuries. However, Ahmed Beker was stabbed to death.
The mopeds were found to have been stolen. They were traced to the Amberley Estate wher ethey had travelled from and to that day. However, they were later found dunped in the Grand Union Canal.
