Barbara Pawelczyk was found dead at a house in Cresswell Avenue, Waterhayes, Newcastle-under-Lyme on 2 January 2021.
A 55-year-old man, from Newcastle-under-Lyme, was arrested on suspicion of murder and perverting the course of justice, however, nothing more is known.
The police were called to the address at shortly before 10am on Saturday 2 January 2021 following reports of the death of a woman there.
Barbara Pawelczyk was from Poland and had been a warehouse worker at the Asda distribution centre at the Lymedale Business Park.
