A search was made at the site of a block of flats in Brighton for some human remains, but none were found.
The remains were said to have been at the site when the building was built in the 1960s, and upon its demolision a serch was made for them.
The police said that the person that reported the remains did so with good intentions.
The flats had been called Anston House and had been in Preston Road. Before their demolision, the flats had been empty for 30 years. Anston House had been known as Brighton’s ugliest building.
The remains were thought to have been in the buildings foundations.
