Pauline Tiernan died in a fire at her home in 1989.
Her husband was later tried for murdering her but acquitted.
He was arrested in 1991 after his new lover claimed he confessed to her murder to her.
A verdict of accidental death had been recorded at the time.
However, when the police investigated her death in 1995 they found that her husband had lied about the state of their relationship and that Pauline Tiernan had been on the brink of leaving him for a lover.
