Christopher John Bray

Age: 23

Sex: male

Date: 5 Mar 1983

Place: London Transport Social Club, Old Kenton Lane, Kingsbury

Christopher John Bray was stabbed in the toilet at a disco at the London Transport Social Club in Old Kenton Lane, Kingsbury on 5 March 1983.

It was heard that he was stabbed because he had bumped into someone.

Christopher Bray had been unemployed and had lived in Ainsworth Way, Abbey Road, St John's Wood.

Two people were charged with his murder:

  1. 24-year-old carpet fitter of Cranleigh Street, Camden Town
  2. 22-year-old unemployed man of Oakley Square, Camden Town.

The carpet fitter was later sent for trial at the Old Bailey on a charge of murder whilst the unemployed man was committed on a charge of manslaughter after it was heard that there was no case to answer on the charge of manslaughter. Three other men were also committed to the Old Bailey on charges of conspiring to pervert the course of justice.

The unemployed man was acquitted at the Old Bailey on 8 March 1984 after the prosecution offered no evidence against him.

However, the rtrial result of the carpet fitter is not known.
