Yvonne Fletcher was shot outside the Libyan Embassy in St James Square in London on 17 April 1984.
She had been deployed to monitor a demonstration against the Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi when two unknown people in the embassy fired out of the first floor of the embassy with Sterling submachine guns into the demonstrators.
