An unknown man was found with a superficial wound to his throat and his wrist slit.

The body was discovered by a bank clerk who lived on Cambridge Road and was taking a walk in the hills when he found it in a hollow.

The wound across the throat was 5 inches long but superficial whilst the wound to the wrist was gaping and had completely severed the arteries, veins and tendons.

The cause of death was given as haemorrhage and an open verdict was returned.
