James Tearney died after being hit in a boarding house.
A one-legged man was tried for his manslaughter but acquitted.
It was heard that James Tearney had died from acute bronchitis that had cause heart failure which might have been accelerated by his injuries. However, the doctor said that it was quite possible that James Tearney might have died without his injuries.
