Date: 22 Apr 1966
Place: Wellington Street, Bingley
Fred Craven was murdered in his office.
He ran a betting office above an antiques shop.
He was beaten to death with a blunt instrument.
Fred Craven was 4ft 7in tall and suffered from a spinal disease that caused him to have a hunch back.
It was suggested that Peter Sutcliffe, who was later convicted for killing a number of women in the Yorkshire area, was responsible, it being noted that he lived near Fred Craven and had previously been known to visit him for tea.
