A man was tried for her murder in 2003 but acquitted.
Another man, aged 48-years-old, was later arrested for her murder in May 2010 but not charged.
Another man, aged 47-years-old, was later arrested for her murder in May 2012 but also not charged.
She was found dead in an alleyway off of Blessington Road on 4 September 2000. She had been strangled and her throat had been cut with a piece of pottery and she had been stabbed. Her nose, jaw and six of her ribs were also broken. She had suffered 29 injuries and had been left semi-naked. It was thought that a porcelain vase had been used as a weapon to attack her.
Susan Kelly was said to have had mental-health problems and had been diagnosed with schizophrenia.
