Daniel Ross was shot dead on the dance floor at the Scala nightclub in King's Cross on 24 September 2006.
Daniel Ross had gone to the club at about 1am and was later shot on the dance floor near the DJ box at about 3.45am. He was taken to the hospital but pronounced dead at 5.22pm.
By the time the police arrived many of the people there had fled through the fire exits, probably including the gunman.
There had been between 850-1000 in the club at the time.
He had gone to the club to see the Heartless Crew music event on the Garage Fever club night.
Witnesses said that his killer had swaggered on to the dance floor and pulled the trigger and was then lost in the crowd. After he was shot the lights in the club went on and everyone left through the fire exits. CCTV footage of the people was examined by the police who later said that they wanted to speak to the people seen.
The Scala nightclub was spread across four floors and had CCTV outside the building but no CCTV within.
The police said there had been a wall of silence around his murder.
Daniel Ross had two children.
