The body of a child was found under the floor in the back room on the ground floor of 45 Aylesbury Street in Walworth.
The woman that lived there said that she had lived there for 37 years and that the back room had been occupied throughout by her family except for a period about 18 years before when a blind woman had lived in it for 12 months. She said that she could throw no light on the discovery at all.
A doctor that examined the body said that there were holes in the child's skull but said that he could not state the cause of death.
An open verdict was returned.
